Today is Europe Day, commemorating the historical Schuman Declaration in 1950. I attended at midday today, a ceremony at the European Commission’s and European Parliament’s Representation in Barcelona, with the participation of the former President of Catalonia, Pasqual Maragall, and current regional and local political leaders, as well as invited guests like myself who wanted to celebrate this special occasion together.
