The first day of the EYV2011 Polish Tour Stop was dedicated to the integration of disabled people. Twelve organizations presented their activities and shared experiences. The Institute of Psychology and Neurology of Warsaw, The Radwanek Theatre Company from the Anna Dymna Foundation, The Polish Association for Deaf People, Synapsis Foundation, The Foundation for the Development of the Education System, The British Council and EURODESK held interactive workshops and offered presentations on various volunteering initiatives at a national level.

Fourteen organisations gave out information at the stands and encouraged participation with fun activities, such as drawing workshops, quizzes, competitions, dances and songs, videos and presentations.

The European wheel of Fortune performed by the European Commission Representation attracted a lot of people increasing their knowledge about Europe.

Outside the tent, different art activities took place during the day, among them a huge graffiti with the message “The world is in the good hands of young volunteers” which was finalised at the end of the day and grabbed the attention of many passersby.

About 800 people visited daily the tent which remains open between 1 – 14 September 2011 and offers activities, exhibitions, debates, games, film projections and many other activities related to 12 different volunteering areas.
