Welcome to Youth on the Move, welcome to your future!Youth on the Move (YoM), a European Commission initiative aiming to improve young people’s education and employability is present, between 5 and 8 October 2011, at Worldskills 2011 London (the world's largest skills competition, taking place every 2 years with 150,000 expected visitors and 1,000 competitors from 54 countries).
P.A.U. Education team opened the YoM stand in London and carried on with the scheduled program, welcoming many participants and offering them the European Passport. The first day was very successful and constructive at the Youth on the Move Stand at Worldskills 2011 London.
“Presenters enjoyed the attendance of a highly motivated young audience eager to find out about educational opportunities in Europe. The audience even enjoyed a unique hair dressing display aiming to encourage youngsters to go on placements in Italy. We are confident that the rest of the event will continue just as smooth.” commented our colleague Ms Martine Aitken, Event Coordinator. Ms Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Youth and Sport, will be present at the YoM stand (Excel London, ‘Make it Happen’ area, south hall, stand 75) on Friday, 8 October 2011, at 13:00, talking about the priorities the EU identified in the area of education.
